I often find myself listening to peoples conversations about why dressing up is a waste of time. They tell each other they don’t have enough time. They can’t be bothered putting that much effort into something superficial. People will treat me well and bosses will hire me not on my appearance but on my skill set and personality.
This is where those people have it all wrong. We live in a superficial world and the truth of the matter is, the first thing people judge you on is your looks because that’s the first thing they see. It is up to you to make a winning first impression so why not knock it out of the park. Below I have compiled my top 3 reasons why dressing sharp to be sharp will improve your life.

You mean business: When you dress well it subconsciously tells people what you’re like. Without them thinking about it, they will decide if the trust or distrust you and if they will listen to what you have to say or not.
Acts as a pick-me-up: Maybe you had a bad week at work, you got dumped or you’re just feeling negative. Taking time to make yourself look put together will change how you hold your self and in turn change your mood.
You never know who you will run into: The day you don’t dress up is the day you meet your future employer at a local coffee shop, or worse! YOUR EX. Being put together to run out for a coffee or going to grab some groceries will allow you to be more conversational, outgoing, and confident. So, if you were to bump into that ex or to see the manager of that company that you’re trying to snap a job at you won’t be phased. Always be prepared because your future self will thank you for it.
