Edmonton Fashion|What you missed at WCFW

It’s that time of the year again where it’s essential you dress to kill all week long. I’m a firm believer that one must always leave the house looking good in order to make a good first impression and WCFW is no exception. WCFW hit a milestone this fall celebrating 10 years of outstanding, local designer runway shows.

On the opening night, MC College Graduates showcased their favourite pieces for local Edmontonians to view. With something different every night there is hardly ever a dull moment. During Tuesdays show, the audience was presented with a piece by a gentleman named Pekoe titled ‘HAIR’, where he cut his long locks on stage. During which, I think half the women in the audience started to cry after he took the big chop. Continuing, he formed his hair into a paintbrush while strutting over to a blank canvas to create a masterpiece. As if watching Pekoe paint was not entertaining enough, our eyes were gifted with a romantically, enticing  dance accompanied to the song, The Hills by The Weeknd.

One of the many benefits to attending WCFW are the socializing opportunities everyone has. During intermission and at the end of the night designers, performers, and musical guests gather in the lobby for refreshments and conversation. Whether you’re looking for something fun to do with friends or going on a hot date, WCFW is a refreshing switch up to anyones day-to-day regime.
