All is Bright| Winter fun on 124 Street

Boots at All is Bright All is Bright

All is Bright kicked off Saturday, November 21, 3 to 8PM on High Street on 124 Street. I had never been to this festival before but found it entertaining, fun and magical. This was an event that was great for the whole family, a girls night or even a first date.

I found myself placed in front of a warm fire with a band playing in the distance while I roasted marshmallows for my s’more. After I had my fixing of sweets, I looked inside all the local shops which extended their hours to facilitate the festival. If people didn’t want to roast marshmallows or look inside the local shops, that didn’t pose a problem. All is Bright offered up Sleigh rides, carolers, ice sculptures, and live music took place all through the evening to brighten everyone’s night.

As I stepped outside one of the stores, to my right was an elf who was making sure you were on the “nice list”. While to my right, creatures stood resembling something out of the TV Mini-Series, The 10th Kingdom and Where the Wild Things Are took over the areaMight I just add, they all stayed in character the whole night, it was fabulous!

Even our fabulously hip Mayor, Don Iveson attended All is Bright and spoke on behalf of the local shops in the area. To top off the experience there was a countdown to lighting up the street followed by fireworks.

The turnout was overwhelming and the joy was contagious. I can only see this festival growing and becoming something even more wonderful in the following years. For more information on this festival and the event schedule, CLICK HERE.
